Be Heathy by Choice, Not by Chance

Reiki

"The act of laying hands on the human or animal body to comfort and relieve pain is as old as instinct. When experiencing pain, the first thing most people do is put their hands on it. The living body, human or animal, radiates warmth and energy. This energy is the life force itself and has many names (Mana, Chi, Ruach, Orgone, Prana and Ki). Everything alive contains and radiates this life force - it is the bio-magnetic energy of the earth, planets and the human aura."

Diane Stein

Reiki (Ray-key) is an ancient Tibetan healing technique that utilizes the universal life force, Ki, with a non-invasive "laying on of hands." Dr. Mikao Usui is credited with "re-discovering" this gentle and effective healing art.

Reiki Treatments promote relaxation and support the body's natural healing process by contacting the life force that flows within the physical body. Pain, stress and anxiety may be relieved while clarity, balance and ease are renewed. Reiki interfaces well with modern medicine and other complementary therapies and is widely used for pain management in many leading hospitals.

"In its long history of use, Reiki has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance and has many benefits for both client and practitioner."

William Rand

Reiki Trainings introduce and explore the concept of energy. Though a series of "attunements," one’s energy channels are opened and cleared, which allows the flow of life force, vital energy, to be increased. One acquires the skills to manage varying levels of discomfort that may be present physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually for them selves and for others. Used pro-actively, Reiki encourages harmony and balance, which help prevent the disease process.

Some individuals enjoy Reiki Trainings as a source of personal enrichment as they promote intuitive awakening as well as providing practical skills. Others choose to offer Reiki treatments to their family and pets. And some develop a practice in the Healing Arts / Holistic Health field. Trainings are a combination of information, hands-on attunements and experiential practice sessions

Reiki I introduces the history of Reiki and the concepts of healing. There is instruction in Reiki hands-on techniques for giving Reiki treatments to ones self and others.

Reiki II explores the mind / body connection and techniques that accelerate the healing process. Distant healing concepts and skills promote increased awareness of the subtle energy body.

Reiki III, also known as the master attunement, "consciously connects one to the divine spark, the pure being, the center of existence that can only be found in absolute silence, within and without." Frank Petter.

Reiki Master Level teaches how to facilitate Reiki Trainings and give Reiki Attunements. Business Skills, Ethics and Marketing are also addressed

All levels of Reiki trainings are available upon request for individuals and groups.

What is Reiki?

"Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by ‘laying on hands’ and is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's ‘life force energy’ is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The Five Reiki Principals:

  1. Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
  2. Just for today, I will not worry.
  3. Just for today, I will not be angry.
  4. Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
  5. Just for today, I will be kind to my neighbor and every living thing.

"Remember that there is a universal power a force that has order as its basis. To heal one must become attuned to that universal power.
