Photo Art

Nature,
in its Elegant Grace
and Phenomenal Abundance,
Contains an Inherent Energy
that Weaves the Fabric of Life.

It is Full of Mystery, Magic
and Miracles
Where the Ordinary is Truly
Extra-Ordinary.

Its Shapes, Patterns, Textures,
and Array of Colors
Fascinate and Rejuvenate Me.

Its Movement, Rhythm and Cadence,
Nourish and Inspire Me.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

While living a back-to-the-land lifestyle, I discovered that being in nature enriches, inspires, and renews me. The colors, shapes, and reflections create designs that beckon me to come a little bit closer. Something I encourage everyone to do.

No need to foray far for my inspiration: beauty is abundant in the gorgeous gardens that grace my home; in the streams, ponds, and lakes that bless my community; in the ice and snow that blanket the earth, or mingle with leaves and water in the ditch on the side of the road; from the treetops to the catkin filled mud puddles of spring, beauty abounds.

My photographs are the awe-filled moments of magic, wonder, and delight I experience in my home environment and rural community. It's my pleasure to share them with you. May they renew your vision, refresh your spirit, and uplift your soul, as they do mine.

KINDNESS AND BEAUTY

Always a card sender, I began making my own cards to share the beauty of nature that is so inspiring to me.

During the pandemic when we were all experiencing overwhelming challenges, new fears, and exceptional stress, I began bringing cards with me when I went out to do errands.

Wanting to uplift people’s spirits by being kind and sharing beauty, I'd invite shop owners, employees and customers - people I didn't know - to look at, choose, and take a card that appealed to them. People were surprised and moved - it meant a great deal to them, and to me.

As I explored creating an Etsy Shop, Kindness Cards and Sharing Beauty Calendars, Stickers and Prints emerged as my brand.

Thanks for taking the time to browse, shop, spread kindness, share beauty, and make a difference!

“It only takes one person to inspire a world of kindness.”

PECHA KUCHA

PechaKucha (Japanese for “chit chat”) is a presentation method developed by two Tokyo-based architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, to maximize the exchange of ideas while keeping the audience's attention.

A presenter shows 20 slides with 20 seconds of commentary for each. PK became the world’s fastest-growing storytelling platform, used by millions around the globe.

My two PK presentations took place at Colby College, Waterville, Maine.
